Our client is seeking a Journeyman Electrician. On a daily basis, the Journeyman will be responsible for plans (new or modified), installations, and electrical re wires. The electrician must be able to work in a manner consistent with specifications and local electrical codes. The electrician will also prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, and follow diagrams or blueprints, measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and installs electrical conduit. The electrician will also splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, terminating cables of low voltage through 600 volts. To be qualified for the position, applicants must have experience as a journeyman electrician. Must have experience testing continuity of circuitry to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, voltmeter and meggar. Extensive knowledge and ability to run conduit in a commercial setting (200ft per day) is preferred. Must have a valid Texas Journeyman Electricians license. License number must be provided.
